Fighting Napoleon

Over the past few months, our gaming group has been delving headlong into 28mm Napoleonic wargaming. At the insistence of the group, we have created this module to adapt Hounds of War to enable players to fight large scape epic battel in the tumultuous years of the 1790-1815 era of Napoleon. There have been quite a few growing battles played out which will culminate in a large series of events at the 2022 Michigan GT.

If you would like to join us in this road to the GT or Napoleonic games in general, all you need is your first painted unit:

· One unit equals one infantry battalion, cavalry troop, artillery battery, or staff.

· The basic entry level is the battalion/troop/battery and a brigade commander

· We will be playing with 28mm figures

· Bring whatever you have painted, no points, just playing for fun.

· Stat sheets have been provided, unless you have something special to play with.

· We are not focusing on a campaign or time period, just whatever you want from the Napoleonic wars.

Alternatively, we escalate by one painted unit per game .. starting force would be a brigade commander and one unit) and an objective marker.

BASING

· Basing is standardizing on the following unit sizes:

o Infantry Battalion = 24 models on 20x20mm bases singly or in groups of four on 40x40mm bases

o Cavalry Troop = 12 models individually on 25x50mm bases or in pairs on 50x50mm bases

o Artillery = 1 gun per battery (2 per “super” battery) with four crew

o Brigade officer = 1-2 models on a 40mm round

o Division officer = 3+ models on a 3” round

ORGANIZATION

· 1-3 battalions to the infantry regiment

· 2-5 regiments/troops to the brigade

· 2-5 brigades to the Division

· 2-5 Divisions to the corps

· 1 artillery battery per brigade
